Spectators: 162 (Terracing: 122, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jonathan Vie started the match with the kick off. When Åsnes's Jonathan Vie in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clapham Rovers's goalie prevented a goal. Clapham Rovers's Edward Preston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Vie in the 14th minute of play. Edward Preston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Alnes in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Kim Alnes made a precise shot to the right of Edward Preston. Clapham Rovers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Bide in the 19th minute of play forced Clapham Rovers's goalkeeper Edward Preston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Jonathan Vie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Preston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Jonathan Vie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edward Preston. Clapham Rovers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonathan Vie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Clapham Rovers's Edward Preston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Bide in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Vie in the 31st minute of play forced Clapham Rovers's goalkeeper Edward Preston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Åsnes were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Clapham Rovers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ray Man took the corner. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Clapham Rovers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ray Man was slow to take the kick. During this time Åsnes's players had a chance to rest. Clapham Rovers's Edward Preston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Vie in the 43rd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodney Watkinson to make the kick off. Kim Alnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sturle Åsland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodney Watkinson in the 57th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Darius Ramsden during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Clapham Rovers's Darius Ramsden got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Clapham Rovers's zone, Roman Bide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edward Preston came out of the goal and Roman Bide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Clapham Rovers getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Robert Welch hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Clapham Rovers's zone, Ray Man stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edward Preston came out of the goal and Ray Man tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ray Man sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Roman Bide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edward Preston stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Vie's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Edward Preston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Alnes in the 85th minute of play. Clapham Rovers's Edward Preston proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Clapham Rovers from getting a goal against them. Ray Man received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Edward Preston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Charles Booth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jonathan Vie came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Åsnes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Vie couldn't finish the play. Åsnes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
