After 3 played minutes KEZ Toppfotball got a freekick which was hit by Bjørnar Bach. A collision led to FC 08 Brühl getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Boppo Forbrig hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes KEZ Toppfotball got a freekick which was hit by Øyvind Bjerkan. After a rather tough play, KEZ Toppfotball's Stian Brenden got a free kick in the 17th minute. Kai-Arne Ulset took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heribert Kimpel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, KEZ Toppfotball's Stian Brenden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damir Heuchel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stian Brenden made a kick off. Irvin Wulz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Kilian Böhme could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Kai-Arne Ulset however easily saved by the left post. After 83 played minutes FC 08 Brühl got a freekick which was hit by Hannes Bayer. If Rodrigo Schliemann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Irvin Wulz got free with Kai-Arne Ulset in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kai-Arne Ulset made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heribert Kimpel in the 90th minute of play.
