Spectators: 162 (Terracing: 122, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) FK Mintis Vilnius's Sigitas Ivoška started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vidas Lapukas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardas Gadliauskas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gintautas Jameikis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marijus Guzas's late challenge caught a FK Mintis Vilnius's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marijus Guzas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th match minute, FC Pegasas Siauliai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marijus Guzas to maneuver through the defense. Vytenis Baltutis hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FK Mintis Vilnius's zone, Marius Kieža stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gvidonas Jakimavičius came out of the goal and Marius Kieža tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gvidonas Jakimavičius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marijus Guzas in the 16th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Pegasas Siauliai's Eigirdas Liubinskas got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilis Laivys in the 20th minute of play forced FC Pegasas Siauliai's goalkeeper Vidas Lapukas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 minutes of play, FK Mintis Vilnius's Lukas Kulpys made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vidas Lapukas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the match, FC Pegasas Siauliai's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Juodis came free, but Vidas Lapukas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 minutes, Lukas Kulpys mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Mintis Vilnius and the FC Pegasas Siauliai players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FK Mintis Vilnius getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Lukas Kulpys hit a great ball. Sigitas Ivoškas short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Vidas Lapukas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 49th minute of the match FK Mintis Vilnius got a corner. FC Pegasas Siauliai's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emilis Laivys ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Emilis Laivys almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Pegasas Siauliai's Vidas Lapukas did a great save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marius Kieža stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, FC Pegasas Siauliai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonsas Džiautas to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute of the match Emilis Laivys shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vidas Lapukas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 57 minutes of play, FC Pegasas Siauliai's Marius Kieža made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gvidonas Jakimavičius was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 62nd minute, Ugnius Budnikas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FK Mintis Vilnius fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. When FK Mintis Vilnius's Sigitas Ivoška in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Vidas Lapukas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigitas Ivoška in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th match minute, FC Pegasas Siauliai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marijus Guzas to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the FK Mintis Vilnius players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
