The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 7 minutes, Roger Hvitved managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monks in Robes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Hvitved was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Keld Gartved was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monks in Robes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kjønstad BF the free kick. Keld Gartved kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kjønstad BF's zone, Rasmus Hindby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Haug came out of the goal and Rasmus Hindby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ditlev Gørmez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Mouritz Søjbjerg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 44 played minutes Monks in Robes got a freekick which was hit by Jens Borges. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Clausen in the 45th minute of play forced Monks in Robes's goalkeeper Maurits Vesterherup to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Ivar Bjørgo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Keld Gartved hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurits Vesterherup came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Kjønstad BF's Fredrik Iqbal. But to his dismay, Fredrik Iqbal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 55th minute, Philip Sjøberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Haug didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mouritz Søjbjerg went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Kjønstad BF's zone, Rasmus Hindby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Haug came out of the goal and Rasmus Hindby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mouritz Søjbjerg got free with Christian Haug in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute, Rasmus Hindby ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Haug was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 80th match minute, Monks in Robes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keld Gartved to maneuver through the defense. Mouritz Søjbjerg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Haug having to interfere. A collision led to Kjønstad BF getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Jan-Ivar Bjørgo hit a great ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Roger Hvitved managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Marius Larsen fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kjønstad BF's protests and gave Marius Larsen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Kjønstad BF's Marius Larsen got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The supporters of Monks in Robes booed when Kjønstad BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olof Sandbakk didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th match minute, Monks in Robes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rasmus Hindby to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Ditlev Gørmez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the match, Monks in Robes's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Clausen came free, but Maurits Vesterherup reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Monks in Robes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
