The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A wasted opportunity for The Potters. 14 minutes into the game, Sonny Dam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Potters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JK Kurevere the free kick. The supporters of JK Kurevere booed when The Potters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sonny Dam didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute JK Kurevere were awarded a corner. Ailar Lahe went to the cornerflag to take it. JK Kurevere's Uno Ruul was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sven-Olof Gregersson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 18 minutes into the match, JK Kurevere's goalkeeper Olavi Pulver had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sonny Dam. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hendrik Trolla in the 21st minute of play forced The Potters's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Gregersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Habakkuk Beardsley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavi Pulver having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, JK Kurevere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maarek Veetamm to maneuver through the defense. Olavi Pulver acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 25th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Endre Ábrahám. After having played for 28 minutes, Hendrik Trolla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JK Kurevere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hendrik Trolla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. JK Kurevere's Olavi Pulver proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save JK Kurevere from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes into the game, Endre Ábrahám cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Olavi Pulver was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee felt a red card was in order, 33 minutes into the game, when Luis Crescencio put in a rough tackle. In the 35th minute there was a penalty for JK Kurevere. Volli Laineste stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sven-Olof Gregersson. 1-1. Jorge Rebello kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Hendrik Trolla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven-Olof Gregersson was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. 43 minutes into the match, JK Kurevere's Hendrik Trolla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven-Olof Gregersson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Volmar Mitze blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olavi Pulver having to make a save. In the 92nd minute of the match, Volli Laineste got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sven-Olof Gregersson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
