Volker Riether was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Rebello in the 14th minute of play forced Großberghofen's goalkeeper Volker Riether to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jakob Pretzer kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Volker Riether took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Habakkuk Beardsley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd match minute, The Potters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sonny Dam to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Großberghofen's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Rebello came free, but Volker Riether reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Volker Riether took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Rebello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rudolf Ryleman hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Elmar Krack hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After a rather tough play, Großberghofen's Cornelis König got a free kick in the 54th minute. The Potters's Leonhard Heins was substituted for Endre Ábrahám. In the 59th minute Udo Nördershäuser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Olof Gregersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Großberghofen booed when The Potters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Rebello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Rebello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Jorge Rebello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Potters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Rebello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Volker Riether yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Udo Nördershäuser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Sven-Olof Gregersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Großberghofen's zone, Habakkuk Beardsley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Volker Riether came out of the goal and Habakkuk Beardsley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebastian Blatzheim scored 1-3 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sven-Olof Gregersson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, Jorge Rebello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Großberghofen fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. The Potters were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
