Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Großberghofen's Udo Nördershäuser started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tim Wiese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elmar Krack in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute, John Rambo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Elmar Krack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ralph Klüpfel charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ralph Klüpfel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ralph Klüpfel hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Willi Rau's late challenge caught a Großberghofen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Willi Rau helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes SV Bad Harzburg got a freekick which was hit by Willi Rau. Tim Wiese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmar Krack, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Halldor Sönksen hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Udo Nördershäuser in the 16th minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Tim Wiese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Wiese came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Großberghofen's Elmar Krack. But to his dismay, Elmar Krack quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Sebastian Blatzheim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SV Bad Harzburg's zone, Renatus Nützel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Wiese came out of the goal and Renatus Nützel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tim Wiese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Blatzheim in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Großberghofen getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Steffen Dorsch hit a great ball. Roswin Schön's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Volker Riether read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The throw-in from Cornelis König in the 28th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SV Bad Harzburg's Willi Rau. Renatus Nützel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Tim Wiese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SV Bad Harzburg's Tim Wiese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmar Krack in the 37th minute of play. Tim Wiese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Udo Nördershäuser in the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Sebastian Blatzheim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Wiese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tim Wiese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steffen Dorsch, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Udo Nördershäuser in the 43rd minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Tim Wiese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the game, Antoine Heidsiek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Großberghofen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SV Bad Harzburg the free kick. In the 54th match minute, Großberghofen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antoine Heidsiek to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's Halldor Sönksen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Volker Riether narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Jakob Pretzer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 played minutes SV Bad Harzburg got a freekick which was hit by John Rambo. Marc Richter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volker Riether having to interfere. Tim Wiese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Stötzer, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Udo Nördershäuser who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Tim Wiese when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 87th minute, Klaus Vielhaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Volker Riether took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Richter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gideon Weber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Großberghofen's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
