A collision led to Triez getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Manuel Jouvin hit a great ball. In the 5th minute, Atletico de Madrid's Panos Spyroulis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 11 minutes, Sidney Marc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Triez and the Atletico de Madrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Triez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Marc to maneuver through the defense. Dimitris Maros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Adil Sartre skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dimitris Maros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Adil Sartre made a huge save. After some careless play in the Triez defense, Iakovos Papafotopoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adil Sartre. The Triez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adil Sartre should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute, Léo Soler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Panos Spyroulis in the 25th minute really tested Adil Sartre's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After having played for 26 minutes, Thanasis Vamvoukas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico de Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thanasis Vamvoukas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute of the match, Thanasis Vamvoukas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adil Sartre saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marios Kailas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Adil Sartre made a huge save. Sidney Marc kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Freddy Houllier kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 55 minutes, Panos Spyroulis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico de Madrid and the Triez players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Atletico de Madrid's Panos Spyroulis got a free kick in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iakovos Papafotopoulos in the 60th minute of play forced Triez's goalkeeper Adil Sartre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikolas Karkamanis made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Yvan Baud sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 66 minutes, Thanasis Vamvoukas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico de Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thanasis Vamvoukas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Thanasis Vamvoukas made a precise shot to the right of Adil Sartre. Triez's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Adil Sartre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thanasis Vamvoukas in the 87th minute of the match. Thanasis Vamvoukas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adil Sartre having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Triez's goal looked a bit too open when Iakovos Papafotopoulos came free, but Adil Sartre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adil Sartre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iakovos Papafotopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iakovos Papafotopoulos in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adil Sartre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee ended the match the Atletico de Madrid players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
