Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sakis Manousos kicked off to start the match. A collision led to AEK S.C getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Pantelis Chatzivelos hit a great ball. When Augusto Pagliuca came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Weltevedren fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Pagliuca couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute, Achille Valeri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Prodromos Banasopoulos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francesco Vittorio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Anselmo Ranieri notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of AEK S.C's Miltos Kyriazis. Miltos Kyriazis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 23rd minute, Prodromos Banasopoulos made a precise shot to the right of Francesco Vittorio. Weltevedren's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 30 minutes into the match, Weltevedren's goal looked a bit too open when Miltos Argyrakos came free, but Francesco Vittorio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Pagliuca kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After 33 played minutes, AEK S.C's Omiros Argyriou shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Francesco Vittorio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AEK S.C reached it. In the 40th minute Sakis Manousos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Vittorio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dave Vettori hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Miltos Kyriazis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Valeri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half AEK S.C were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Miltos Kyriazis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Ranieri, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Omiros Argyriou made in the 60th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Demis Ksiros. Biagio Menichini's late challenge caught a AEK S.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Biagio Menichini helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Weltevedren's Biagio Menichini got a free kick in the 60th minute. The long shot by Omiros Argyriou in the 61st minute really tested Francesco Vittorio's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Anselmo Ranieri hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Prodromos Banasopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giotis Papagiannis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Augusto Pagliuca charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augusto Pagliuca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th match minute, Weltevedren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Pagliuca to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to AEK S.C getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Pantelis Chatzivelos hit a great ball. Prodromos Banasopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augusto Pagliuca lost his temper 96 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Weltevedren! Omiros Argyriou walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. AEK S.C's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
