Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Enzo Proietti started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute, Fotis Triantafyllopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Burnley FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Alex Zeciu hit a great ball. Dave Falcioni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fanis Kokkinopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ΟΦΗ's Theofanis Marinakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save ΟΦΗ from getting a goal against them. Burnley FC's Enzo Proietti got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Alemdar Baykut got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Alemdar Baykut had to leave the field with a concussion. When Iordanis Drambas fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ΟΦΗ's protests and gave Iordanis Drambas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Burnley FC booed when ΟΦΗ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iordanis Drambas didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Burnley FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Roch Hatman hit a great ball. Dave Falcioni came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by ΟΦΗ's Fanis Kokkinopoulos. But to his dismay, Fanis Kokkinopoulos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 36th minute Giannis Tzanetos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Falcioni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ΟΦΗ's Theofanis Marinakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roch Hatman in the 38th minute of play. Dave Falcioni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sofoklis Stathatos, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Giannis Tzanetos made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Giannis Tzanetos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dave Falcioni. That made the score 1-2 in the 51 minute of play. The supporters of Burnley FC booed when ΟΦΗ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michalis Semos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58thth minute of the game Enzo Proietti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ΟΦΗ's Theofanis Marinakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Fanis Kokkinopoulos took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Dave Falcioni to make any attempt to save it. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Dave Falcioni successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 65 minutes into the game, Nikos Kalkavouras cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Dave Falcioni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Burnley FC's Alex Zeciu got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute of the match Ilias Lazanas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dave Falcioni skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to ΟΦΗ getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Iordanis Drambas hit a great ball. Burnley FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Fanis Kokkinopoulos scored to the left of an out of position Dave Falcioni, making the score, 1-6. After 82 played minutes ΟΦΗ got a freekick which was hit by Michalis Semos. In the 83rd minute of the match Ercole Limitone sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Theofanis Marinakis skillfully saved the ball. Ilias Lazanas charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ilias Lazanas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to ΟΦΗ getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ilias Lazanas hit a great ball. Dave Falcioni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nikos Kalkavouras in the 88th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikos Kalkavouras got free with Dave Falcioni in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The ΟΦΗ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
