The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th play minute Antonis Vrazilianos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Angelo Gizzi. 1-0. Angelo Gizzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonis Vrazilianos, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When Edoardo Mozzoni fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Club Sicilia's protests and gave Edoardo Mozzoni a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Sporting Club Sicilia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edoardo Mozzoni to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Gizzi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anastasios Zotalis. After a rather tough play, Saronida FC's Simos Zacharenios got a free kick in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Saronida FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gianluca Scamacca came free, but Petros Ntonas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Saronida FC. In the 39th minute Enzo De Vecchis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petros Ntonas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petros Ntonas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo De Vecchis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Simos Zacharenios had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Gizzi. Sporting Club Sicilia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simos Zacharenios was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Stavros Pourliotopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Angelo Gizzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute Edoardo Mozzoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petros Ntonas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 minutes of play, Sporting Club Sicilia's Carter Vago made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petros Ntonas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Saronida FC's Petros Ntonas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo De Vecchis in the 66th minute of play. Antonis Vrazilianos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Gizzi having to interfere. Simos Zacharenios was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 77th minute Panos Siafakas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Gizzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gianluca Scamacca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Petros Ntonas made a huge save. Petros Ntonas made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Gianluca Scamacca sent off a good shot on target. Enzo De Vecchis charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enzo De Vecchis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sporting Club Sicilia's Enzo De Vecchis got a free kick in the 94th minute. Anastasios Zotalis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Angelo Gizzi. Sporting Club Sicilia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
