The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Theofilos Tripitsidis charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Theofilos Tripitsidis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Theofilos Tripitsidis hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Evaggelos Kostantelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theocharis Pouliadis in the 9th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 11 minutes into the game, when Eutichios Dridakis put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Kerkyra FC's Eutichios Dridakis got a free kick in the 12th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Kerkyra FC's goalkeeper Loukas Kois had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoros Chatzidis. Timos Santorineos kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Thalis Kokkolakis hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Evaggelos Kostantelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theocharis Pouliadis in the 23rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, TZITZIFIES's Loukas Kois threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Timos Santorineos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Kerkyra FC's Giorgos Maragozis got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Kerkyra FC's goalkeeper Loukas Kois had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timos Santorineos. Evaggelos Kostantelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentinos Kanellakis in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Kerkyra FC booed when TZITZIFIES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timos Santorineos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thrasivoulos Dokas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Loukas Kois made a huge save. In the 35th minute Valentinos Kanellakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaggelos Kostantelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, TZITZIFIES's goal looked a bit too open when Theocharis Pouliadis came free, but Evaggelos Kostantelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Valentinos Kanellakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaggelos Kostantelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vlassis Prattis charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vlassis Prattis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, one of TZITZIFIES:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for TZITZIFIES. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentinos Kanellakis to make the kick off. Thalis Kokkolakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaggelos Kostantelos having to interfere. After a rather tough play, TZITZIFIES's Isidoros Chatzidis got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Thalis Kokkolakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vlassis Prattis kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes TZITZIFIES got a freekick which was hit by Thrasivoulos Dokas. Valentinos Kanellakis had several of the TZITZIFIES's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 62 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Evaggelos Kostantelos as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 68th match minute, Kerkyra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marinos Katsiaros to maneuver through the defense. Evaggelos Kostantelos made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Theocharis Pouliadis sent off a good shot on target. Evaggelos Kostantelos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theocharis Pouliadis in the 77th minute. After 82 minutes of play, Kerkyra FC's Valentinos Kanellakis made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evaggelos Kostantelos was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of TZITZIFIES booed when Kerkyra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Maragozis didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Kerkyra FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than TZITZIFIES throughout the match.
