In the 6th minute Daniele Tabacco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Di Lullo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Comunardo Amatori kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Daniele Tabacco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurelio Di Lullo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniele Tabacco in the 10th minute of play forced Valdieri's goalkeeper Aurelio Di Lullo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Valdieri's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Di Martino came free, but Aurelio Di Lullo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Bruno Valcareggi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelio Di Lullo. Valdieri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Valcareggi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When Daniele Tabacco came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Montesacro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniele Tabacco couldn't finish the play. When Elia Cicchini came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Valdieri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elia Cicchini couldn't finish the play. Edmondo Monzeglio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Valdieri defense, Daniele Tabacco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelio Di Lullo. The Valdieri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelio Di Lullo should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Valdieri's Aurelio Di Lullo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Valdieri from getting a goal against them. After having played for 60 minutes, Ciro Di Martino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montesacro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Di Martino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelio Di Lullo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Valcareggi in the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Montesacro FC's Ferruccio Domenici got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 69 played minutes Valdieri got a freekick which was hit by Elia Cicchini. In the 72nd minute, Daniele Tabacco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montesacro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. 78 minutes into the match, Valdieri's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Valcareggi came free, but Aurelio Di Lullo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Montesacro FC booed when Valdieri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Comunardo Amatori didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, Daniele Tabacco made a precise shot to the right of Aurelio Di Lullo. Valdieri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Aurelio Di Lullo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniele Tabacco went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Aurelio Di Lullo made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Daniele Tabacco sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd match minute, Montesacro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Monzeglio to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the game, Elia Cicchini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valdieri's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montesacro FC the free kick. A collision led to Valdieri getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Montesacro FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
