In the 15th minute Adil Magaud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Valeriani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Karim Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessandro Mazzetti scored 1-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sofyane Valognes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute Anfilogino Benvenuto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sofyane Valognes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Farafulla FC booed when Rathmore Lime Tree was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christophe Reibel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 played minutes Rathmore Lime Tree got a freekick which was hit by Bilal Hédin. In the 28th minute Alessandro Mazzetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sofyane Valognes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adil Magaud's late challenge caught a Farafulla FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adil Magaud helped the player get up and apologised. 32 minutes into the match, Rathmore Lime Tree's goal looked a bit too open when Alessandro Mazzetti came free, but Sofyane Valognes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rathmore Lime Tree's Sofyane Valognes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Rathmore Lime Tree from getting a goal against them. When Alessandro Mazzetti fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Farafulla FC's protests and gave Alessandro Mazzetti a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute, Alessandro Mazzetti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dave Valeriani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karim Cosme went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Bernardo Reali made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Rathmore Lime Tree got a freekick which was hit by Brian Boullet. Farafulla FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Karim Cosme scored to the left of an out of position Dave Valeriani, making the score, 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Adil Magaud managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rathmore Lime Tree's supporters rose to their feet, but Adil Magaud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dave Valeriani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Farafulla FC's Dave Valeriani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hervé Annette in the 74th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karim Cosme got free with Dave Valeriani in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Rathmore Lime Tree's Christophe Reibel got a free kick in the 79th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Rathmore Lime Tree's goal looked a bit too open when Anfilogino Benvenuto came free, but Sofyane Valognes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Farafulla FC booed when Rathmore Lime Tree was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hervé Annette didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Farafulla FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
