Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) La Pointe Courte's Yann Scott started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Moustos came free, but Sabri Fouquet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Thibaut Mazieres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Manos Papaiakovou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manos Papaiakovou was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Thibaut Mazieres showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Papaiakovou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Go Ahead Eagles from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd minute, Gerasimos Kallitsis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Thibaut Mazieres came free, but Manos Papaiakovou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, La Pointe Courte's Yann Segond got a free kick in the 30th minute. Sabri Fouquet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ntinos Vounatsos in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Thibaut Mazieres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manos Papaiakovou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apostolos Antoniou charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Apostolos Antoniou the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Apostolos Antoniou kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Yann Scott recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sabri Fouquet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manos Christodoulou, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. It was a well-played corner which Periklis Vakalis managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 47th minute Nikos Moustos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabri Fouquet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Panagiotis Bourousis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greg Santoro in the 51st minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Manos Papaiakovou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when La Pointe Courte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thibaut Mazieres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manos Papaiakovou came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by La Pointe Courte's Dominique Virapin. But to his dismay, Dominique Virapin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Go Ahead Eagles's zone, Patxi Seux stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manos Papaiakovou came out of the goal and Patxi Seux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goalkeeper Sabri Fouquet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panagiotis Bourousis. In the 65th minute, Greg Santoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manos Christodoulou in the 66th minute of play forced La Pointe Courte's goalkeeper Sabri Fouquet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thibaut Mazieres took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manos Papaiakovou. Manos Papaiakovou dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After a rather tough play, La Pointe Courte's Thibaut Mazieres got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 76 minutes into the game, Yann Scott cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Manos Papaiakovou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sabri Fouquet made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Manos Christodoulou sent off a good shot on target. John Holmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Go Ahead Eagles's Ntinos Vounatsos got a free kick in the 91st minute. La Pointe Courte's Yann Scott got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manos Papaiakovou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathys Guigon, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerasimos Kallitsis got free with Sabri Fouquet in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. There was no doubt that La Pointe Courte were the better team. La Pointe Courte's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
