Ilias Peristeropoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demetrio Borrelli in the 6th minute of the match. Thomas Papagiotopoulos charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomas Papagiotopoulos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fortunato Proia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogenis Priovolos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fortunato Proia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogenis Priovolos, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The attack was good, but when Diogenis Priovolos in the 14th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 25 played minutes Cesate got a freekick which was hit by Demetrio Borrelli. 33 minutes into the match, Cesate's goal looked a bit too open when Diogenis Priovolos came free, but Fortunato Proia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to ΠΑΟΚ FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Kostas Triantopoulos hit a great ball. After some careless play in the ΠΑΟΚ FC defense, Adriano Di Marco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilias Peristeropoulos. The ΠΑΟΚ FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilias Peristeropoulos should have stopped the shot. After the first half Cesate were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 57th minute Anestis Kapataidakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Proia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Magliocco kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match Diogenis Priovolos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fortunato Proia skillfully saved the ball. In the 67th match minute, Cesate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Di Marco to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogenis Priovolos in the 82nd minute of play forced Cesate's goalkeeper Fortunato Proia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petros Giannakis kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match.
