Chrisostomos Bourdas started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Meerkats FC's zone, Theofilos Zaninos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Troisi came out of the goal and Theofilos Zaninos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 5 minutes into the match, Meerkats FC's goal looked a bit too open when Theofilos Zaninos came free, but William Troisi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 7 minutes, Kevin Musu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meerkats FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Musu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kevin Musu in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marios Kamarinopoulos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Chrisostomos Bourdas sped through Meerkats FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of William Troisi. Thanos Kotitsas's late challenge caught a Meerkats FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Meerkats FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave tHe SOnS of rAGnar the free kick. William Troisi came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Theofilos Zaninos. But to his dismay, Theofilos Zaninos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. If Kevin Musu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, Meerkats FC's Leonard Calleja sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marios Kamarinopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The tHe SOnS of rAGnar supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing tHe SOnS of rAGnar would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
