The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Alvaro Prato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Prato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elia Piermattei in the 8th minute of play forced A.S. Ian Fenomeni's goalkeeper Antonio Simone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Antonio Simone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save A.S. Ian Fenomeni from getting a goal against them. Domenico Sabatino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bebeto Queirós in the 12th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Elia Piermattei took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Antonio Simone to make any attempt to save it. Damiano Montini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Simone having to interfere. Antonio Simone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damiano Montini in the 21st minute of play. Domenico Sabatino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bebeto Queirós went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Antonello Di Paola kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes in the game Achille Pasquino got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. In the 31st minute, Andrea Tocchetto fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Domenico Sabatino. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Prato got free with Antonio Simone in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sorci Viola's Damiano Montini got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Domenico Sabatino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bebeto Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Antonio Simone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elia Piermattei in the 45th minute of play. After 48 played minutes A.S. Ian Fenomeni got a freekick which was hit by Diego De Lorenzi. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the game, Andrea Tocchetto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sorci Viola the free kick. After a rather tough play, A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Andrea Tocchetto got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 59 minutes into the match, A.S. Ian Fenomeni's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Piermattei came free, but Antonio Simone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sorci Viola's Domenico Sabatino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Sorci Viola from getting a goal against them. Bebeto Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Domenico Sabatino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego De Lorenzi got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Diego De Lorenzi kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Antonio Simone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elia Piermattei in the 74th minute of play. In the 85th minute Alvaro Prato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Simone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amedeo Carnevale in the 87th minute of play forced A.S. Ian Fenomeni's goalkeeper Antonio Simone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bebeto Queirós hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. When Alvaro Prato came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Sorci Viola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Prato couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Sorci Viola booed when A.S. Ian Fenomeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferruccio Castronovo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damiano Montini hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 98 minutes into the game, Alvaro Prato cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Antonio Simone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sorci Viola fans cheered their team off the field, for while A.S. Ian Fenomeni had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
