In the 11thth minute of the game Junior Maldini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but I ritirandi di Canaus's Ermanno De Lellis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 15 minutes, Ettore De Amicis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the I ritirandi di Canaus and the A.S. Udinese players grew even worse after the yellow card. That made the score 2-0 after 33 minutes of play. Ermanno De Lellis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filippo Di Cesare, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute, Diego Crispino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
