When Ennio Imperatrice fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored I ritirandi di Canaus's protests and gave Ennio Imperatrice a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Templars FC booed when I ritirandi di Canaus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ennio Imperatrice didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Mark Borg Xuereb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Crispino came free, but Samuel Demicoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fortunato Di Sipio kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Ettore De Amicis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Carmine Bonanni kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute of the match Sean Friggieri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ermanno De Lellis skillfully saved the ball. 55 minutes into the match, I ritirandi di Canaus's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Degiorgio came free, but Ermanno De Lellis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Crispino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Templars FC made a substitution. With a little luck, Templars FC's Samuel Demicoli got control of the ball when Cesare Chizzo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ermanno De Lellis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liam Rolè, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The supporters of I ritirandi di Canaus booed when Templars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Trapani didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. I ritirandi di Canaus walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
