In the 25th minute of the game Gazanfer Özcan Muharrem made a throw-in which Rick Jonen played forward. Brian Fumey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentin Gougeon in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florentin Gougeon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when 邵南洲 came free, but Andoni Zubizarreta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andoni Zubizarreta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 邵南洲, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Roncourt's 邵南洲 got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valencia C.F.'s Andoni Zubizarreta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Valencia C.F. from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Valencia C.F.'s Zackary Jenkins got a free kick in the 88th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when 邵南洲 got free with Andoni Zubizarreta in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Valencia C.F. getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Nino Jeanneret hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Roncourt left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Valencia C.F..
