Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Gastão Cesário could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Pepe Muelas made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gastão Cesário got free with Pepe Muelas in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hechter Cabrera's late challenge caught a Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hechter Cabrera helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes Sperides got a freekick which was hit by Hechter Cabrera. Pepe Muelas didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 22nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Aurelio Roig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sperides's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Roig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamilton Poças breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manuel Valadão hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Aurelio Roig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hechter Cabrera struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Hamilton Poças didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sperides. In the 43rd minute Dalmai Sirvent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamilton Poças saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gastão Cesário in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pepe Muelas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Gastão Cesário put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Pepe Muelas.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aurelio Roig to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Manuel Valadão hit a great ball. When Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Marcos Mourão in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pepe Muelas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Mourão's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Veríssimo Castilho kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Hamilton Poças took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Roig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Valadão charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Valadão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th minute, Aurelio Roig fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Valadão in the 84th minute of play forced Sperides's goalkeeper Pepe Muelas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Anjos hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Hamilton Poças stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Roig's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Mourão in the 89th minute of play forced Sperides's goalkeeper Pepe Muelas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Valadão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pepe Muelas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Aurelio Roig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamilton Poças having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
