Adelino Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Segundo Sauca kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Ricardo Vasques sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Riemannian's David Mangas didn't even have to move. Dorio Herrera charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorio Herrera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Braga booed when Riemannian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorio Herrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Mangas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Belo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Riemannian's David Mangas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorato Calado in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Riemannian's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrício Monteiro came free, but David Mangas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorio Herrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Coelho having to interfere. Adelino Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorio Herrera in the 27th minute of the match.
