The referee ignored Stars Academy's protests and gave Albérico Bacelar a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Stars Academy's Albérico Bacelar got a free kick in the 5th minute. Miguel Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eneas Munoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, HORTALEZA FC's Carlo Sánchez got control of the ball when Américo Albuquerque tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Stars Academy defense, Vladimir March kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Carneiro. The Stars Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Carneiro should have stopped the shot. After having played for 30 minutes, Vladimir March managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HORTALEZA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimir March was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eneas Munoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Miguel Carneiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eneas Munoz's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. The corner ended in Erasto Beloki almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Stars Academy's Miguel Carneiro did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eneas Munoz in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miguel Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute Eneas Munoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eneas Munoz got free with Miguel Carneiro in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Carneiro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 69th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Eneas Munoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Miguel Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eneas Munoz in the 83rd minute of play. Eneas Munoz hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Carlo Sánchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bento Perdigão, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Eneas Munoz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Miguel Carneiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Eneas Munoz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 90th minute. In the 93rd match minute, HORTALEZA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Llinares to maneuver through the defense.
