Spectators: 162 (Terracing: 122, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Albérico Vilaverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Burni Justo in the 10th minute of play. When Real Club Celta de Vigo's Burni Justo in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Braga's goalie prevented a goal. After 16 played minutes Real Club Celta de Vigo got a freekick which was hit by Peri Jorquera. After some careless play in the SC Braga defense, Danilo Santander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albérico Vilaverde. The SC Braga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albérico Vilaverde should have stopped the shot. 32 minutes into the game, Gustavo De la Torre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Club Celta de Vigo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Braga the free kick. Gustavo De la Torre hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Real Club Celta de Vigo's Quico Camacho got a free kick in the 34th minute. Egídio Paixão charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Egídio Paixão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th minute, Romo Unzueta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in SC Braga's zone, Danilo Santander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albérico Vilaverde came out of the goal and Danilo Santander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goal looked a bit too open when Bladi Lama came free, but Albérico Vilaverde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Cristo Rico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Trindade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albérico Vilaverde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bladi Lama in the 64th minute of the match. If Gustavo De la Torre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bladi Lama in the 68th minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Albérico Vilaverde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Real Club Celta de Vigo getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Peri Jorquera hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Egídio Paixão got a free kick in the 79th minute. Gustavo De la Torre got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 82nd minute, Gustavo De la Torre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicasio Morcego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Albérico Vilaverde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Burni Justo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandrino Bessa charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandrino Bessa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 played minutes SC Braga got a freekick which was hit by Alexandrino Bessa. The Real Club Celta de Vigo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Real Club Celta de Vigo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
