The Aguas Nuevas CD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Ballesteros should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, PLURAL's Aloísio Leitão got a free kick in the 15th minute. Isauro Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aristides Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. José Ballesteros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aguas Nuevas CD's José Ballesteros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Leitão in the 26th minute of play. After 34 minutes of play, PLURAL's Caio Caiado made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Ballesteros was left in no man's land by his defense there! 37 minutes into the match, Caio Caiado notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Aguas Nuevas CD's José Ballesteros. José Ballesteros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. José Ballesteros came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by PLURAL's Benedito Caetano. But to his dismay, Benedito Caetano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. José Ballesteros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Leitão, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Aguas Nuevas CD's José Ballesteros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caio Caiado in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caio Caiado was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Aguas Nuevas CD's José Ballesteros got control of the ball when Nuno Taveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caio Caiado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but José Ballesteros made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aloísio Leitão during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Isauro Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aguas Nuevas CD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aloísio Leitão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. With a little luck, Aguas Nuevas CD's José Ballesteros got control of the ball when Caio Caiado tried to sneak it across the goal line. PLURAL played a much better game than Aguas Nuevas CD and deserved their victory. The Aguas Nuevas CD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
