Sálvio Malta had several of the Downchester City's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 4 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Xepe Gandia as he didn't even see the shot coming. Leandro Campelos short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Xepe Gandia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Pepito Sacristán fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Downchester City's protests and gave Pepito Sacristán a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Downchester City got a freekick which was hit by Pepito Sacristán. 9 minutes into the match, Downchester City's goalkeeper Xepe Gandia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Campelo. Xepe Gandia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With a little luck, Downchester City's Xepe Gandia got control of the ball when Leandro Campelo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute João Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xepe Gandia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xepe Gandia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Herberto Vilar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 28 minute of play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xepe Gandia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sálvio Malta to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Downchester City defense, Herberto Vilar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xepe Gandia. The Downchester City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xepe Gandia should have stopped the shot. After 57 minutes of play, Andarilhos's Herberto Vilar made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xepe Gandia was left in no man's land by his defense there! 60 minutes into the match, Downchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Sálvio Malta came free, but Xepe Gandia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Josep Odín got free with Yuri Ventura in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
