The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. José Ballesteros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pau Gasol in the 6th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Peio Prats managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aguas Nuevas CD's supporters rose to their feet, but Peio Prats was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anatolio Morera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute Pau Gasol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Ballesteros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pau Gasol in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Ballesteros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xuoco Urquijo in the 32nd minute of play forced Aguas Nuevas CD's goalkeeper José Ballesteros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peio Prats kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Chano Jaen charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chano Jaen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Aguas Nuevas CD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chano Jaen to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Aguas Nuevas CD booed when La Mora CAT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loreto Candamil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute, Ximo Hernandez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and La Mora CAT's Anatolio Morera didn't even have to move. The Aguas Nuevas CD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Mora CAT were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pau Gasol to make the kick off. José Ballesteros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xuoco Urquijo in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute of the match Pau Gasol sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Ballesteros skillfully saved the ball. Peio Prats kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Cordeiro Castro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Ballesteros. That made the score 0-3 in the 72 minute of play. Aguas Nuevas CD's José Ballesteros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Aguas Nuevas CD from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute Ferrer Alcaraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Ballesteros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Ballesteros made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Cordeiro Castro sent off a good shot on target. La Mora CAT's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
