Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Toni Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germán Alonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toni Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Santos in the 7th minute of the match. Boca Juniors's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vergaray Jaraba in the 10th minute. A nice corner shot did that Vergaray Jaraba got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Toni Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Germán Alonso hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute Germán Alonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toni Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Santos in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Anselmo Cabrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eneas Toxeiro came out of the goal and Anselmo Cabrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Germán Alonso hit a great ball. Arxel Pareja received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eneas Toxeiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Arxel Pareja slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 32nd minute. 38 minutes into the match, Girona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Germán Alonso came free, but Toni Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Girona FC's Toni Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Santos in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute Luis Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Germán Alonso came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Germán Alonso couldn't finish the play.

In the last second Toni Vera throw himself and got hold of the ball when Xalbador Cruz in the 53rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 58th minute Belisario Llorente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eneas Toxeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Santos in the 62nd minute of play forced Girona FC's goalkeeper Toni Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belisario Llorente took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eneas Toxeiro. Eneas Toxeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Arxel Pareja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caton Carballido to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute of the match Roberto Darroja shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eneas Toxeiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arxel Pareja in the 78th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Eneas Toxeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germán Alonso hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Caton Carballido's late challenge caught a Girona FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caton Carballido helped the player get up and apologised. After 81 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Caton Carballido. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arxel Pareja in the 82nd minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Eneas Toxeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Luis Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toni Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Germán Alonso in the 89th minute. After some careless play in the Boca Juniors defense, Belisario Llorente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eneas Toxeiro. The Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eneas Toxeiro should have stopped the shot. Girona FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
