Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vítor Dantas in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Amaro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 28 minutes into the game, Vítor Dantas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ADCR Loreto United FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Micaelense the free kick. After 28 played minutes ADCR Loreto United FC got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Dantas. In the 33rd minute Vítor Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ADCR Loreto United FC's Vítor Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Atlético Micaelense's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Dantas came free, but Marcelo Amaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Almiro Casado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Micaelense's Marcelo Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Gago in the 40th minute of play. Wilson Lobato hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Vítor Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Amaro having to interfere. When Cláudio Madureira fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Micaelense's protests and gave Cláudio Madureira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, Cláudio Madureira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Amaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Dantas in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torcato Paião to make the kick off. With a little luck, ADCR Loreto United FC's Hilário Salgado got control of the ball when Cláudio Madureira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hilário Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torcato Paião in the 54th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Almiro Casado notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Atlético Micaelense's Marcelo Amaro. Marcelo Amaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcelo Amaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Dantas in the 68th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, ADCR Loreto United FC's Almiro Casado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Amaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donato Gago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 97 minutes, Wilson Lobato mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Micaelense and the ADCR Loreto United FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the referee ended the match the ADCR Loreto United FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
