If Ionel Zărnescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FCSB CUENCA getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ugutz Jubera hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ionel Zărnescu in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xabel Beloki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ionel Zărnescu was slow to take the kick. During this time FCSB CUENCA's players had a chance to rest. Ionel Zărnescu made a great header on FCSB CUENCA's corner, it was just that ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Xabel Beloki managed to reach the ball for a save. Agapito Blanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Mendez in the 25th minute of the match. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cugat Marines in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute Bernardo Solo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xabel Beloki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruperto Mendez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Agapito Blanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
