The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Robby Van Linthaudt's late challenge caught a Kickers United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robby Van Linthaudt helped the player get up and apologised. Twierdza Osowiec's Waut Vanden Berghe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philippe Smet in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute Diederiek Uijtterhoeven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waut Vanden Berghe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waut Vanden Berghe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diederiek Uijtterhoeven in the 10th minute of the match. In the 10th match minute, Twierdza Osowiec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Cordaryal to maneuver through the defense. After 16 minutes, Frans Moerman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kickers United and the Twierdza Osowiec players grew even worse after the yellow card. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Waut Vanden Berghe. Kickers United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
