After a rather tough play, Pannekoeken's Martien Crans got a free kick in the 3rd minute. When Oliver Kruit fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pannekoeken's protests and gave Oliver Kruit a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arno Zonneveld in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geno Arsov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 17 minutes into the match, АФК Фонтаните's goal looked a bit too open when Martien Crans came free, but Geno Arsov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martien Crans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Geno Arsov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Lambers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geno Arsov having to interfere. If Stephan Overmars had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. АФК Фонтаните's Geno Arsov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save АФК Фонтаните from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martien Crans in the 30th minute of play forced АФК Фонтаните's goalkeeper Geno Arsov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geno Arsov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephan Overmars in the 32nd minute of play. When Avgustin Irinchev came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the АФК Фонтаните fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Avgustin Irinchev couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arno Zonneveld got free with Geno Arsov in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. АФК Фонтаните's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Martien Crans scored to the left of an out of position Geno Arsov, making the score, 1-0. Geno Arsov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stephan Overmars, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

If Martien Crans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th match minute, Pannekoeken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Kruit to maneuver through the defense. Iliyan Karadzhov's late challenge caught a Pannekoeken's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iliyan Karadzhov helped the player get up and apologised. When the referee ended the match the Pannekoeken players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
