Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Michael Verhaeghen made the kick off which started today's match. SK Gullegem's Michael Verhaeghen got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albertus Reijdams's late challenge caught a Sporting Mambo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albertus Reijdams helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sporting Mambo booed when SK Gullegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertus Reijdams didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastien Jaspers in the 12th minute of play forced SK Gullegem's goalkeeper Freek Van Hoyvelt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michel Jamieson took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilles Stroobans. Gilles Stroobans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After having played for 18 minutes, Marco Jamieson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Gullegem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Jamieson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SK Gullegem were furious when Albertus Reijdams was red carded, 22 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 22 played minutes SK Gullegem got a freekick which was hit by Albertus Reijdams. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Mambo's zone, Marco Jamieson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilles Stroobans came out of the goal and Marco Jamieson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Marco Jamieson managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Gullegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Jamieson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilles Stroobans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Glen de Pelsmaecker hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Gilles Stroobans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Jamieson in the 34th minute of play. After 38 played minutes SK Gullegem got a freekick which was hit by Frank Costermans. Arnauld Vercouteren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Freek Van Hoyvelt made a huge save. Arnauld Vercouteren's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Freek Van Hoyvelt firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Sporting Mambo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SK Gullegem were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnauld Vercouteren to make the kick off. Sebastien Jaspers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Freek Van Hoyvelt having to make a save. Sporting Mambo's Gilles Stroobans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Mambo from getting a goal against them. 58 minutes into the match, Sporting Mambo's goalkeeper Gilles Stroobans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Jamieson. The supporters of SK Gullegem booed when Sporting Mambo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glen de Pelsmaecker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Verhaeghen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilles Stroobans having to make a save. A collision led to SK Gullegem getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Frank Costermans hit a great ball. Freek Van Hoyvelt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnauld Vercouteren, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After some careless play in the SK Gullegem defense, Arnauld Vercouteren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freek Van Hoyvelt. The SK Gullegem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freek Van Hoyvelt should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Armentier in the 84th minute of play forced SK Gullegem's goalkeeper Freek Van Hoyvelt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SK Gullegem's Frank Costermans got a free kick in the 86th minute. 96 minutes into the match, SK Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Arnauld Vercouteren came free, but Freek Van Hoyvelt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SK Gullegem's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
