In the 8th minute, Osdorp FC's Mario van Zwieten dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 11th minute, Bennie Anneese hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pepijn Knol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Jamieson, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. A collision led to SK Gullegem getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Michel Jamieson hit a great ball. After 15 minutes of play, Osdorp FC's Gijs Evenhuis made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Freek Van Hoyvelt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Freek Van Hoyvelt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Roelofs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, SK Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Mario van Zwieten came free, but Freek Van Hoyvelt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, SK Gullegem's goalkeeper Freek Van Hoyvelt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evert Roelofs. Evert Roelofs spun around in front of the goal 23 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of SK Gullegem's goal. In the 26thth minute of the game Evert Roelofs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SK Gullegem's Freek Van Hoyvelt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pepijn Knol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmond Walder in the 28th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Evert Roelofs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Freek Van Hoyvelt. That made the score 3-0 in the 30 minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, SK Gullegem's goalkeeper Freek Van Hoyvelt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gijs Evenhuis. Edmond Walder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pepijn Knol having to interfere. The supporters of Osdorp FC booed when SK Gullegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Jamieson didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evert Roelofs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Michel Jamieson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Gullegem and the Osdorp FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SK Gullegem's Michel Jamieson got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the game, Mario van Zwieten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Freek Van Hoyvelt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 62 minutes into the game, Ernest Driel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Osdorp FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Gullegem the free kick. Evert Roelofs took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Freek Van Hoyvelt. Freek Van Hoyvelt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After some careless play in the SK Gullegem defense, Gijs Evenhuis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freek Van Hoyvelt. The SK Gullegem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freek Van Hoyvelt should have stopped the shot. After recieving a nice pass, Osdorp FC's Evert Roelofs tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. SK Gullegem's Michel Jamieson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Matthijs Wensing, made in the 95th minute of the game. SK Gullegem's Freek Van Hoyvelt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert Roelofs in the 96th minute of play. Osdorp FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
