The audience was convinced that Arnold van Herwijnen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marc Brand was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Mjöllnir's Quint Barbonetti got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Arnold van Herwijnen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marc Brand was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Mjöllnir getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Quint Barbonetti hit a great ball. Hans Oude Kamphuis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Brand having to interfere. Arnold van Herwijnen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SV Wissenkerke's Hans Oude Kamphuis got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Ralph Cramer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marc Brand. Mjöllnir's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ralph Cramer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Marco Hofland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Marc Brand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42ndth minute of the game Arnold van Herwijnen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mjöllnir's Marc Brand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marc Brand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnold van Herwijnen in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnold van Herwijnen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stef Mol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marc Brand having to make a save. Arnold van Herwijnen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Marc Brand made a huge save. Marc Brand made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnold van Herwijnen in the 67th minute. After 74 played minutes SV Wissenkerke got a freekick which was hit by Leendert Looze. Didier Bonenfant kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes SV Wissenkerke got a freekick which was hit by Ralph Cramer. In the 88th minute Arnold van Herwijnen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc Brand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A wasted opportunity for SV Wissenkerke. SV Wissenkerke's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
