When Wesley Eringa fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ASC South United's protests and gave Wesley Eringa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Wesley Eringa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute Bryan Balthazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Teesing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Folkert Rijkaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Bryan Balthazar made a precise shot to the right of Erwin Teesing. ASC South United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Bryan Balthazar took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erwin Teesing. Erwin Teesing dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Fox Hunting Squad's Lennart Steckens got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Folkert Rijkaard charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Folkert Rijkaard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th match minute, ASC South United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taco Scholte to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Bart-Jan Allaert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erwin Teesing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryan Balthazar in the 42nd minute of play. Taco Scholte hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, ASC South United's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Steckens came free, but Erwin Teesing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Victor Steckens made the kick off in the second half. Victor Steckens's late challenge caught a ASC South United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Steckens helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, Fox Hunting Squad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Steckens to maneuver through the defense. Taco Scholte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erwin Teesing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryan Balthazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fox Hunting Squad's Robbin Panhuyse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folkert Rijkaard in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Fox Hunting Squad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Van Gorpt to maneuver through the defense. Fox Hunting Squad's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
