In the 11th minute, Marc Van Kestbeek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kelmond S.C.'s Ferry Schattenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Van Leemputte in the 16th minute of play. Jan Oosting kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Ernst Overmars hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kelmond S.C.'s Ferry Schattenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Van Kestbeek in the 20th minute of play. Ferry Schattenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernst Jansens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, Lennert Dirickx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Portus Ganda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kelmond S.C. the free kick. In the 24th minute, one of Portus Ganda:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Portus Ganda. Jorden Colebrandts came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Kelmond S.C.'s Jan Oosting. But to his dismay, Jan Oosting quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Lennert Dirickx lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Portus Ganda:s Jorden Colebrandts showed great skill when he stopped Nathan Schulte:s penalty. When Marc Van Kestbeek came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Portus Ganda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marc Van Kestbeek couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute, Marc Van Kestbeek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Luckas Van der Perren fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portus Ganda's protests and gave Luckas Van der Perren a yellow card for diving instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marc Van Kestbeek to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Ernst Jansens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marc Van Kestbeek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferry Schattenberg having to interfere. Ernst Jansens charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernst Jansens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kelmond S.C. booed when Portus Ganda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernst Jansens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gert Hulzebos took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorden Colebrandts. Jorden Colebrandts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Kelmond S.C.'s Ferry Schattenberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Kelmond S.C. from getting a goal against them. Jorden Colebrandts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Oosting in the 80th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Henk Hosson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorden Colebrandts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernst Jansens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ferry Schattenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Marc Van Kestbeek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portus Ganda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marc Van Kestbeek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marc Van Kestbeek in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferry Schattenberg saved Kelmond S.C. from getting behind. Portus Ganda's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Kelmond S.C. had won, even though Portus Ganda had held more of the ball.
