Pytka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Lugano's Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of D.J. Pytka. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. With a little luck, Rákóczifalva SE's D.J. Pytka got control of the ball when Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Lugano's Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 22nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Godo Gøl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Péter Barabás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Rákóczifalva SE's goal looked a bit too open when Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul came free, but D.J. Pytka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but D.J. Pytka saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when Rákóczifalva SE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gábor Markos didn't get a good kick on the ball. D.J. Pytka made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Qiao Jian sent off a good shot on target. D.J. Pytka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qiao Jian in the 41st minute of the match. If Márió Pálffy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Márió Pálffy made the kick off in the second half. Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without D.J. Pytka having to interfere. D.J. Pytka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qiao Jian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Dömötör Pulai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rákóczifalva SE's D.J. Pytka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qiao Jian in the 64th minute of play. D.J. Pytka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 67th minute of play. D.J. Pytka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vico Sticher in the 68th minute of play. D.J. Pytka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qiao Jian, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After a rather tough play, Rákóczifalva SE's Soma Földi got a free kick in the 80th minute. Godo Gøl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márió Pálffy, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute, Qiao Jian made a precise shot to the right of D.J. Pytka. Rákóczifalva SE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. D.J. Pytka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul got free in front of the goal in the 91st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. D.J. Pytka was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Rákóczifalva SE's D.J. Pytka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 93rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Lugano's Gregor Wirth got a free kick in the 94th minute. 96 minutes into the game, FC Lugano's Qiao Jian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. D.J. Pytka made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Lugano fully deserved thier win.
