The crowd rose to their feet as Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dimitri Huijbreghts. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Esquirla FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul 8 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. Dimitri Huijbreghts was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Vico Sticher capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vico Sticher really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Dimitri Huijbreghts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon in the 14th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Simon Wery was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esquirla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Lugano the free kick. Simon Wery hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts got control of the ball when Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dimitri Huijbreghts came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Lugano's Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul. But to his dismay, Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Vico Sticher managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lugano's supporters rose to their feet, but Vico Sticher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dimitri Huijbreghts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon in the 26th minute of play forced Esquirla FC's goalkeeper Dimitri Huijbreghts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vic de Reyck kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Pattharawut Sirikeartkumjorn sent off a good shot on target. After 33 played minutes Esquirla FC got a freekick which was hit by Michel Nilis. In the 35th minute, Esquirla FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Qiao Jian fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Vico Sticher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dimitri Huijbreghts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul scored 6-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dimitri Huijbreghts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michel Nilis to strike the kick off in the second half. Qiao Jian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dimitri Huijbreghts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55thth minute of the game Qiao Jian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. During the 55th minute of the match Simon Wery completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Simon Wery a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Simon Wery hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. FC Lugano's Qiao Jian got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dimitri Huijbreghts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gian-Carlo Van Den Maagdenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Qiao Jian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Lugano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. In the 66th minute, Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dimitri Huijbreghts was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. 70 minutes into the match, Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts. Dimitri Huijbreghts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 74th minute of play. After 78 minutes of play, FC Lugano's Qiao Jian made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dimitri Huijbreghts was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dimitri Huijbreghts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qiao Jian in the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qiao Jian in the 83rd minute of play forced Esquirla FC's goalkeeper Dimitri Huijbreghts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the game, FC Lugano's Qiao Jian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. 91 minutes into the match, Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dimitri Huijbreghts. Esquirla FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 12-0. Dimitri Huijbreghts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregor Wirth in the 94th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, FC Lugano's Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-0.
