Iker Casillas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iker Casillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan Lanphant in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slavcho Mandzhukov in the 22nd minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Aldo Candal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brugge United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The supporters of Brugge United booed when THE CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peyo Hantov didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ryan Lanphant made a kick off. Aldo Candal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Slavcho Mandzhukov in the 53rd minute of play.
