With a little luck, Ulan Bator Football Club's Guust Bautmans got control of the ball when Hub Groten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfred Oevermans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willem-Jan Coussement in the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willem-Jan Coussement in the 11th minute of play forced De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Alfred Oevermans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. De Kasteelheren's Alfred Oevermans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garry Brabant in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute Willem-Jan Coussement shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Oevermans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teun Otten scored 1-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guust Bautmans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Teun Otten fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Kasteelheren's protests and gave Teun Otten a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes De Kasteelheren got a freekick which was hit by Teun Otten. A collision led to Ulan Bator Football Club getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Dyllan Cools hit a great ball. De Kasteelheren's Jonathan Dissels quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Roger Goos, made in the 47th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teun Otten made a kick off. Guust Bautmans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hub Groten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute De Kasteelheren were awarded a corner. Sjoerd van Asten went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Sjoerd van Asten got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Guust Bautmans quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 58th minute, Luke Van der Meiren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfred Oevermans was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garry Brabant in the 66th minute of play forced De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Alfred Oevermans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfred Oevermans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luke Van der Meiren in the 71st minute of play. Philippe-Arnaud Pellegrims hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Guust Bautmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hub Groten in the 73rd minute of the match. Guust Bautmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hub Groten in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute De Kasteelheren were awarded a corner. Sjoerd van Asten went to the cornerflag to take it. When Hub Groten came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the De Kasteelheren fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hub Groten couldn't finish the play. A collision led to De Kasteelheren getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Marnix van Alst hit a great ball. Alfred Oevermans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luke Van der Meiren in the 84th minute of the match. The supporters of Ulan Bator Football Club booed when De Kasteelheren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guus Kolman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Alfred Oevermans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willem-Jan Coussement. Alfred Oevermans was a little too slow when Willem-Jan Coussement got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 2-4. With a little luck, De Kasteelheren's Alfred Oevermans got control of the ball when Garry Brabant tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Ulan Bator Football Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than De Kasteelheren.
