Karl Laureys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frits Beuneker in the 8th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Ouagadougou National getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Henri-Xavier Van Langhendonck hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferdi van der Schaaf got free with Karl Laureys in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute, Peter-Jan Goovaers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl Laureys acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 14th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kristian Roswinkel. Issa Bado's late challenge caught a De Pelgrims's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Issa Bado helped the player get up and apologised. Issa Bado kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 20 minutes of play, De Pelgrims's Jouke Jacobs made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl Laureys was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hendrik Adriaanse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Imbreghts, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Jouke Jacobs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Issa Bado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hendrik Adriaanse was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. A collision led to FC Ouagadougou National getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ief Fondria hit a great ball. FC Ouagadougou National's Karl Laureys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny van den Hoogen in the 35th minute of play. FC Ouagadougou National's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Jouke Jacobs scored to the left of an out of position Karl Laureys, making the score, 2-0. After 41 minutes of play, De Pelgrims's Koos Keupink made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl Laureys was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 45 minutes of play, De Pelgrims's Jouke Jacobs made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

De Pelgrims's Hendrik Adriaanse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save De Pelgrims from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Issa Bado got free with Hendrik Adriaanse in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Karl Laureys took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny van den Hoogen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Steffe De Jonge fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ouagadougou National's protests and gave Steffe De Jonge a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Steffe De Jonge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Ouagadougou National's Karl Laureys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jouke Jacobs in the 67th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, De Pelgrims's Jouke Jacobs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl Laureys made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After some careless play in the FC Ouagadougou National defense, Danny van den Hoogen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl Laureys. The FC Ouagadougou National fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl Laureys should have stopped the shot. Kristian Roswinkel kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. During the 81st minute of the match Issa Bado completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Issa Bado a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 83 played minutes FC Ouagadougou National got a freekick which was hit by Jeremie Sterkx. After 84 played minutes, De Pelgrims's Ferdi van der Schaaf shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Karl Laureys came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in De Pelgrims reached it. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Geert Arend Robben hit a great ball. Hendrik Adriaanse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Imbreghts in the 95th minute of play. De Pelgrims's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
