The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Jurij Trefný had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Attila Gerebics got free with Jan Borůvka in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Szombathely Squirrels's zone, Artur Štefka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gusztáv Jászberényi came out of the goal and Artur Štefka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Attila Gerebics could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jan Borůvka made a huge save. Ondřej Šenkeřík charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ondřej Šenkeřík the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 21 minutes into the match, Czechia Hradec Králové's goalkeeper Jan Borůvka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gusztáv Győrffy. 23 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Jurij Trefný came free, but Gusztáv Jászberényi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Jan Borůvka managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Szombathely Squirrels's Attila Gerebics fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 32nd minute, Szombathely Squirrels's Gusztáv Győrffy ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jan Borůvka. Jan Borůvka yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Gusztáv Jászberényi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurij Trefný in the 36th minute of play. Krisztián György could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Jan Borůvka made a huge save. When Ondřej Šenkeřík came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Czechia Hradec Králové fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ondřej Šenkeřík couldn't finish the play. Jan Borůvka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gusztáv Győrffy's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Attila Gerebics sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 55 played minutes Czechia Hradec Králové got a freekick which was hit by Bořek Pilát. Zsolt Vörös took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jan Borůvka. Czechia Hradec Králové's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jan Borůvka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gusztáv Győrffy in the 59th minute of the match. Ondřej Šenkeřík was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Szombathely Squirrels booed when Czechia Hradec Králové was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ondřej Šenkeřík didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zsolt Vörös was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Czechia Hradec Králové's Jan Borůvka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gusztáv Győrffy in the 66th minute of play. Jan Borůvka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gusztáv Győrffy in the 69th minute of play. Dalimil Kuzma charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dalimil Kuzma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Czechia Hradec Králové's Dalimil Kuzma got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 75th minute, Artur Štefka fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gusztáv Jászberényi, passed just outside the right post. When Szombathely Squirrels's Gusztáv Győrffy in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Czechia Hradec Králové's goalie prevented a goal. Czechia Hradec Králové's Bořek Pilát managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Krisztián György in the 81 minute of the game. A collision led to Czechia Hradec Králové getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Dalimil Kuzma hit a great ball. The supporters of Czechia Hradec Králové booed when Szombathely Squirrels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lajos Jakó didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrik Svárovský, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mihály Csontos hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Szombathely Squirrels were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Czechia Hradec Králové for a fine match.
