The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Taco Zwartkruis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Julias Rascals Apeldoorn from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Julias Rascals Apeldoorn getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Gert Warneke hit a great ball. Miroslav Halas charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miroslav Halas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Kopeto's František Žiga got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 17th match minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roelof van Kampen to maneuver through the defense. Zdeněk Skalník might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Taco Zwartkruis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zdeněk Skalník ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 19th minute, Ferdi van der Struijk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikita Kráčmar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Roelfs in the 22nd minute of the match. Taco Zwartkruis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Vošický in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute Ivo Vošický shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taco Zwartkruis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Zdeněk Skalník notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Taco Zwartkruis. Taco Zwartkruis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. František Žiga struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Taco Zwartkruis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Kopeto. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

FC Kopeto made a substitution. Václav Plášil replaced František Žiga. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivo Vošický stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Mathijs Stroobos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zdeněk Skalník scored 2-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Taco Zwartkruis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th match minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roelof van Kampen to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the game, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ferdi van der Struijk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nikita Kráčmar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Nikita Kráčmar made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Govert Kool sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th minute, Ferdi van der Struijk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Vošický came free, but Taco Zwartkruis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Taco Zwartkruis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zdeněk Skalník in the 72nd minute of play. Govert Kool kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 75 played minutes FC Kopeto got a freekick which was hit by Hanuš Holan. Zdeněk Skalník received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Taco Zwartkruis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Hans-Cees Schattenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the game, Gert Warneke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Kopeto the free kick. After a rather tough play, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Gert Warneke got a free kick in the 81st minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Roelof van Kampen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roelof van Kampen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, FC Kopeto's goalkeeper Nikita Kráčmar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Govert Kool. There was no doubt that FC Kopeto were the better team. FC Kopeto's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
