Mirko Vervoort showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans-Cees Ricksen in the 4th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Gert Smits hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute Joeri Buys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mirko Vervoort saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pieter de Zwart in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rob Poelman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 10 minutes, Pieter de Zwart made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Beetje Moe Re-United's Rob Poelman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Billy van Loen's late challenge caught a Mijdrecht Maffia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Billy van Loen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute, Billy van Loen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rob Poelman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gert Smits in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Fernando Hardering hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Beetje Moe Re-United defense, Gert Smits kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rob Poelman. The Beetje Moe Re-United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rob Poelman should have stopped the shot. After 23 played minutes Beetje Moe Re-United got a freekick which was hit by Gerald Tinselboer. Mijdrecht Maffia's Roger Rekers shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 24th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rob Poelman but with some difficulty. Rob Poelman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Rein Roetering, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Mijdrecht Maffia's goal looked a bit too open when Joeri Buys came free, but Mirko Vervoort reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fernando Hardering had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rob Poelman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pieter de Zwart showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 41 minute of play.

The wind increased when Hans-Cees Ricksen made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Mijdrecht Maffia booed when Beetje Moe Re-United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joeri Buys didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute, Mijdrecht Maffia's Carel Thomasse seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carel Thomasse the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mijdrecht Maffia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carel Thomasse had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mijdrecht Maffia! The referee gave Beetje Moe Re-United a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hans-Cees Tollenaar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mijdrecht Maffia's Mirko Vervoort. 3-1. After a rather tough play, Beetje Moe Re-United's Joeri Buys got a free kick in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Jan Rein Roetering had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rob Poelman. Beetje Moe Re-United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Rein Roetering was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. With a little luck, Mijdrecht Maffia's Mirko Vervoort got control of the ball when Joeri Buys tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mirko Vervoort showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Hardering, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Billy van Loen was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 84 played minutes, Mijdrecht Maffia's Roger Rekers shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rob Poelman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mijdrecht Maffia reached it. After having played for 86 minutes, Gert Smits managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mijdrecht Maffia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gert Smits was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mirko Vervoort took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joeri Buys, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 played minutes Mijdrecht Maffia got a freekick which was hit by Nico-Jan Daalmeyer. In the 92nd match minute, Beetje Moe Re-United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Hoeksma to maneuver through the defense. After 94 played minutes Mijdrecht Maffia got a freekick which was hit by Jan Rein Roetering. Cobus Wolf hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Mijdrecht Maffia's Mirko Vervoort played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joeri Buys in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Beetje Moe Re-United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mijdrecht Maffia.
