Alto Mondragon made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Mathias Huiting sent off a good shot on target. Alto Mondragon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul van Mol in the 11th minute of play. Alto Mondragon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul van Mol in the 13th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathias Huiting got free with Alto Mondragon in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Radowit Murdza in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Pedro Valadares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paul van Mol might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alto Mondragon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paul van Mol ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 19th minute Paul van Mol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alto Mondragon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Ágætis Byrjun's Paul van Mol dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A collision led to Motala AIF getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Erol Tokyüz hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goal looked a bit too open when Radowit Murdza came free, but Zé Pedro Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Motala AIF defense, Paul van Mol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alto Mondragon. The Motala AIF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alto Mondragon should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul van Mol in the 34th minute of play forced Motala AIF's goalkeeper Alto Mondragon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Radowit Murdza made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Motala AIF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisão Secco to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul van Mol in the 62nd minute of play forced Motala AIF's goalkeeper Alto Mondragon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 minutes Motala AIF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lucien de Ridder who took care of the corner kick. Motala AIF's Elias Topcu was substituted for Radowit Murdza. Ágætis Byrjun's Patrick van der Valk was substituted for Mathias Huiting. After a rather tough play, Motala AIF's Antoni Plaski got a free kick in the 67th minute. Zé Pedro Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erol Tokyüz, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After some careless play in the Motala AIF defense, Paul van Mol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alto Mondragon. The Motala AIF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alto Mondragon should have stopped the shot. Motala AIF's Alto Mondragon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul van Mol in the 78th minute of play. In the 82ndth minute of the game Paul van Mol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Motala AIF's Alto Mondragon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84th match minute, Motala AIF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisão Secco to maneuver through the defense. Alto Mondragon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul van Mol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harris Theisens during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Ágætis Byrjun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harris Theisens to maneuver through the defense. After 97 played minutes, Motala AIF's Srdan Nigg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zé Pedro Valadares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Motala AIF reached it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Motala AIF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ágætis Byrjun.
