In the 2nd minute Doğan Gayret shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FCF north's Fausto de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferenc Puskás in the 4th minute of play. Fausto de Almeida came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Nagyváradi AC's Doğan Gayret. But to his dismay, Doğan Gayret quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 16thth minute of the game Arcan Çapan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nagyváradi AC's Gyula Grosics was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gyula Grosics took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martien Huizinga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20thth minute of the game Doğan Gayret who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FCF north's Fausto de Almeida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ed Bijlsma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gyula Grosics tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gyula Grosics showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arcan Çapan, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Nagyváradi AC's Ferenc Puskás slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fausto de Almeida. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. Nagyváradi AC's Gyula Grosics played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arcan Çapan in the 29th minute of play. Jonatan Bilintx took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gyula Grosics. Gyula Grosics dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Nagyváradi AC's Gyula Grosics played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arcan Çapan in the 39th minute of play. Roland Szikora struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Fausto de Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nagyváradi AC. Nagyváradi AC's Gyula Grosics played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ed Bijlsma in the 43rd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Doğan Gayret made a kick off. With a little luck, Nagyváradi AC's Gyula Grosics got control of the ball when Arcan Çapan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jenő Buzánszky during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th match minute, Nagyváradi AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jenő Buzánszky to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Martien Huizinga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gyula Grosics was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 58th minute, Jonatan Bilintx ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gyula Grosics was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. When Miklós Sebestyén fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nagyváradi AC's protests and gave Miklós Sebestyén a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Nagyváradi AC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Miklós Sebestyén hit a great ball. Nagyváradi AC's Gyula Grosics proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Nagyváradi AC from getting a goal against them. Fausto de Almeida came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Nagyváradi AC's László Márton. But to his dismay, László Márton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4.
