With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerard van den Eede in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tristan Arioli saved Olympique Fribourg from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by August Ehrenbolger during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Olympique Fribourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by August Ehrenbolger to maneuver through the defense. Tristan Arioli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard van den Eede in the 13th minute of the match. In the 19th match minute, Olympique Fribourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Esiquio to maneuver through the defense. The The Underdogs fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when The Underdogs's Gerard van den Eede looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 28 minutes Olympique Fribourg's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Brito Montemayor who took care of the corner kick. 32 minutes into the match, The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jean-Paul Daalmeyer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mich Batshuayi. Mich Batshuayi took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean-Paul Daalmeyer. Jean-Paul Daalmeyer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Mich Batshuayis short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Jean-Paul Daalmeyer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Izaak Achterberg fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Underdogs's protests and gave Izaak Achterberg a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, The Underdogs's Izaak Achterberg got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute Gerard van den Eede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Arioli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Underdogs's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Brito Montemayor in the 42nd minute. The corner led The Underdogs's Brito Montemayor to fire away a dangerous shot which Tristan Arioli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tristan Arioli came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by The Underdogs's Gerard van den Eede. But to his dismay, Gerard van den Eede quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mateo Esiquio to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ant Koyak had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Gerard van den Eede fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Underdogs's protests and gave Gerard van den Eede a yellow card for diving instead. After 55 played minutes The Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Gerard van den Eede. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Gerard van den Eede managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Underdogs's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerard van den Eede was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tristan Arioli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patryk Banaszak in the 70th minute of play forced The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jean-Paul Daalmeyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tristan Arioli made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Gerard van den Eede sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute, Brito Montemayor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute Remo Pürro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Paul Daalmeyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, The Underdogs's Gerard van den Eede sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tristan Arioli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Underdogs were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Olympique Fribourg's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Brito Montemayor took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Izaak Achterberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tristan Arioli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Tristan Arioli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. During the 93rd minute of the match Gerard van den Eede completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gerard van den Eede a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 94 played minutes The Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Gerard van den Eede. The Underdogs made a substitution. Denny Polak replaced Teo Reintjes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Esiquio in the 96th minute of play forced The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jean-Paul Daalmeyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Underdogs walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
