José Pedro Reis's late challenge caught a Guarani Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Pedro Reis helped the player get up and apologised. Charles Antunes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Augusto Mineiro having to make a save. Amílton Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Galindo España, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th match minute, Taquaral Campineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Freire to maneuver through the defense. Giovani Monteiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Amílton Sá could save by the left post. Taquaral Campineiro's Amílton Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Galindo España in the 14th minute of play. Amílton Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Massa in the 15th minute of play. Amílton Sá didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matías Carioca went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The Taquaral Campineiro fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Taquaral Campineiro's Donato Guerra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. José Augusto Mineiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Matías Carioca scored 2-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amílton Sá, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oscar Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Amílton Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Raúl Nóbrega was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Taquaral Campineiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guarani Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 32nd minute, Raúl Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 36 minutes, Donato Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taquaral Campineiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matías Carioca received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amílton Sá came out and tried to block the shot, but Matías Carioca slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 39th minute. After some careless play in the Taquaral Campineiro defense, Claudinei Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amílton Sá. The Taquaral Campineiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amílton Sá should have stopped the shot. Matías Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Guerra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Taquaral Campineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Massa came free, but Amílton Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amílton Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donato Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donato Guerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but José Augusto Mineiro made a huge save. 62 minutes into the match, Taquaral Campineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Galindo España came free, but Amílton Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amílton Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Guarani Futebol Clube booed when Taquaral Campineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matías Carioca in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amílton Sá prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amílton Sá came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Guarani Futebol Clube's Matías Carioca. But to his dismay, Matías Carioca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Charles Antunes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but José Augusto Mineiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 77 minutes, Matías Carioca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guarani Futebol Clube and the Taquaral Campineiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Taquaral Campineiro getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Sandro Barreto hit a great ball. Amílton Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Cunha in the 83rd minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Giovani Monteiro notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of Taquaral Campineiro's Amílton Sá. Amílton Sá was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amílton Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Carioca in the 95th minute of play. Guarani Futebol Clube walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
